In Memory Of A Special Person

I never thought I would be writing something like this for Bryan.  I mean at least not this early in his short life.

The hole he leaves in our lives can never be filled.  In your life you may have a lot of friends.  But out of those friends you only have a handful that are the kind you can call on for anything at anytime.  Bryan was the friend if there was a crisis in our lives he was just a phone call away.  I really wish he would have made a call to us so we could have been there in his time of need.

There will never be a trip to Disneyland that will be the same.  The Happiest Place On Earth really lost one of its biggest fans.  Every time I hear a siren in the background I will think of Bryan.  This is going to be hard since we live so very close to the new fire station.

I opened up our photo album and scanned a few pages. I just wanted to share with all interested how Bryan touched our lives.  As you can see we had a lot of fun.  The one thing about Bryan is when ever we saw him we were sure to have fun.  He would make us smile, laugh and now cry.

Bryan has been part of our lives for so long, we met through his sister Lalya.  This was a time when computers or at least the internet was in its infancy.  We met Lalya on KBBS which was a text based message board.  And since she introduced us the rest has been history.

We made a few trips to the Sierra's to my uncles park had good times fishing.  (neither one of us is really a fisherman) have campfires and just had fun talking.

The picture of him holding onto the back of the seat was in reference to my cousin Clint bending the space time continuum with his breakneck speeding.

The other one is us holding our catch of the day. And the others were taken at South Lake.

Everyone that knew Bryan could not help know he had a true love for Disneyland.  I think this is where we really had the best of times.  Be it from riding the rides to the fine dining at the corn dog cart.  Air hockey at the arcade will always hold a special memory.  Anybody standing around was always in danger of loosing an eye since the games usually drew blood.

Some days we would go and it would be so busy and we would just hang out at a quiet spot and would just bullshit about the things going on in life.

I must say the highlights of any of our trips to Disney was a chance to go to the very exclusive Club 33.  To any fan this is really the place you want to be.

The service there was impeccable and they went out of their way to make anything you wanted.  The one thing that stood out was when Bryan ordered a "melon" margarita. The server had a strange look as she went into the back.  A few minutes later she came back with a yellowish foamy margarita.  Bryan took a sip and was just like WTF.  Bryan told the waitress that this had no melon in it.  The waitress  then said "Oh I thought you said a Miller Margarita".

Well if that was not funny to you I guess you just had to be there.

Here we are outside the very well hidden door. Note the oval 33 sign, its the only sign you will find marking the club. In the picture with the red curtians was a special room that was at one time  had hidden microphones.  I think one was in the vulture above our head.  Rumor has it as you were talking people monitored your conversations so if you made a comment like I think I want a piece of pie the server would magically appear with your pie.

he The balconies overlook New Orleans square.  They had little tables and chairs to just watch people go by and drink alcoholic drinks while the suckers outside had no booze.

hAfter dinner we had a chance to walk around and check out the overpriced hats and other junk.  Boy thats a day that we will never forget.

he Even when Bryan was not at Disney he always had to do fun things.  Take these pictures.  I on my own would never have done these.  But add Bryan to the mix and sure as hell there I am dressed up in front of a blue screen......thanks Bryan.

There are a couple more pictures I want to share but I need to put my hands on them.  Including some they had at his beautiful memorial service.  Also if you had any pictures you wanted to share I would be more than happy to host them for you.  I really would want this to be a place to visit when ever you find yourself missing Bryan.  I know I will.

In closing I just have to say Bryan was there for all the highlights in our lives.  He was there to run around downtown LA Jewelry district to pick out Julies engagement ring.  He was by our side when I had to go in for back surgery, he stayed with Julie the whole time.  He was part of our wedding in Yosemite (pictures to come). I can go on but I think I will stop and just say Bryan held a special place in our lives.  He will be missed in more ways than words can say.

Goodbye friend, I hope you found the peace you could not find here with us.
